From eight years in retail to five years on the round.
I'm Jack. I started cleaning windows in Bristol in September 2020 after eight years working in retail. I wanted to work outside, be my own boss, and do something different.
Five years on, I've got regulars across north and south Bristol and I still love the job. Most of my clients have been with me for years now. Some of them I share a coffee with. Most I'd recognise on the street.
The work itself is straightforward. Windows on a regular six-weekly schedule, gutters cleared annually, fascia and soffits and conservatory roofs when they need it. I'll message the night before I'm coming. I'll message when I'm done. You don't need to be in.
What I'd want from a tradesperson is someone who shows up when they say they will, does the job properly, and is easy to get hold of. So that's what I do.
