Window Cleaning in Knowle & Totterdown

South Bristol — Knowle, Totterdown, Brislington, and the steeper streets running up the hills above the city. The mix of housing here goes from the colourful Totterdown terraces (the ones in the Bristol photographs everyone shares) to the post-war semis of Knowle and the larger family homes around Brislington.

The slopes are part of what makes this patch interesting. Some of the Totterdown streets are steep enough that ladder work is genuinely awkward — the water-fed pole approach is a much better fit because I'm working from solid ground, not balanced on uneven paving. For homes with split-level frontages or back gardens dropping below the street, the 36ft reach handles most situations without scaffolding.

My six-weekly round across BS3 (south of the river) and BS4 covers Knowle, Totterdown, Bedminster Down, Brislington, and the streets around Wells Road and Bath Road. I do gutter clearing annually across the same patch — Totterdown's older housing stock means a lot of homes have proper traditional gutter runs that haven't been touched in years.
